  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup butter, softened
  • 1¾ cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  5. Scoop batter into cupcake liners (about ⅔ full). Bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of a cake comes out clean.
  6. Cool in pans for about 10 minutes, then remove cupcakes to cooling racks to cool completely before frosting.
  7. Optional: Frost cupcakes and add desired decorations.
